Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you all my up coming specials and mini sessions. I like to plan ahead and hopefully you do too :)
I will be adding a few more mini sessions though out the summer but for now I have a few to share with you! These sessions are great for anyone who only wants a few photos and small session plus who doesn't like to save money!
First up: I added one more day to the Mother's day mini sessions. Friday May 4th. Starting at 8 am and going until 5:30 pm I know it is hard for us moms to be in front of the camera but trust me-your kids do not care what you are wearing, if you have gained weight or now. They love you for who you are. This is a great way to get in some photos with your kids-trust me they will look back on them years from now and love them. I am sure you will too. I do have a few gowns/dresses you can wear if you like. I can help with styling as well.
2nd up: Class of 2019 it is your time to shine! Get your Custom Senior session booked before June 15, 2018 and receive $50 off your session! The Session can be held anytime from May to Sept 2018.
If you can find the 2 typos in my senior add I will give you an extra discount on your photo order!
My last 2 specials are Family Minis. One for the Summer and one for the Fall. This year the summer one is going to be held in a Very Pretty location outside of Cheyenne Wyoming. Those spots are very limited so don't want to book your spot! The Family one I haven't decided on the location yet. Give me a call today to book your sessions! 307-575-1702
New life is an amazing thing and to be able to witness a new little human coming into this world is truly a blessing and honor. Even more special when it is your granddaughter. March 1, 2018 I had the honor of witnessing my new granddaughter coming into this world. What a wonderful, exciting, special, emotional moment. I have had the honor of photographing all my grand babies coming into this world. But for some reason this one was different. For a long time my son's girlfriend wasn't going to let me in the room. Which I totally understand how uncomfortable it can be for her. I was so crushed at the thought of missing such an amazing moment. The week she was due to come my son told me that I could be there as long as I was not taking photos of baby coming out. :) I was on cloud nine. I remember the day all my boys were born and I so wish someone was in the room photographing it. There are moments I do not remember and wish I had images of those moments. So I was so happy that I could be there and help capture these moments for them like I had for my other 2 grand babies. I wish them many many many years of happiness and love!
*the look on my sons face during one of Andie's contractions is priceless. She had a pretty tight squeeze on his hand.
Meet my pretty little granddaughter Birkliegh Kelley weighing in at 6 lbs 6 oz. 19 3/4 inches long.
I didn't get to spend to much time in the hospital after she was born as my hubby had to go back to work. And mind you we are about 2.5 to 3 hours away from them. Going home was so hard, I told my hubby I don't want to go-I didn't get to take enough photos lol. I wanted to get her first bath and feet prints and more. He says well at least you made her for her birth. True. I couldn't wait to get her in my studio to do her newborn session. I was so nervous as my helper couldn't come in that day so my son was my helper. At one point I was shaking cause I was nervous, and my son says-mom you ok why are you nervous? I said well I am so happy but nervous cause I want these photos to be awesome and I want you guys to love them-I don't want to mess up knowing I only have today to get them done. Plus my helper is gone. Hes like really mom-you are fine we love whatever you do. Then I relaxed and enjoyed every minute. Even though I felt rushed. I was shocked how nervous I was-I have been doing this for many years and never get nervous for a newborn session. I think I just wanted to make sure mom loved them and I wanted to make my son super happy. Which is weird cause I want every person that walks in my studio to love their images and be happy.
Here are a few favorites from her session. Can't wait to get her in her for her 3 months. They grow so darn fast. I want to capture all of it. Sorry for the cuteness over load. well no not really sorry lol Hope you enjoy!
Thanks again Andie and Dylan for letting me part of this amazing journey.
I am the worst at keeping up with my blog and writing. I am terrible at writing and at grammar. So please forever give me. I have been busy with so much going on here at the new studio and at home. Let me try to fill you all in on all the things that have been going on. :)
First off I want to say a BIG thank you to Everyone who came out to my open house. It was a wonderful turn out and I loved seeing and visiting with everyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! It truly was awesome! We had lots of people, door prizes and treats.
I couldn't of done without all my family, friends and clients! THANK YOU!!!
Next up my Adorable granddaughter came into this world March 1st. I was so honored to be able to witness her birth. The amazing things us women can do. I have had the honor of watching all my grandbabies enter this world. A true blessing! Meet my new adorable granddaughter Birkliegh Kelley Weighing in at 6 lbs 6 oz. I so wish I could see her more often. I do plan to do a whole blog just one her soon.
I have been busy with lot of sessions, meeting new people and enjoying my "job". I can't tell you how much I love working with so many people and getting the honor to create art for you all. It brings me joy, happiness, sometimes tears too. I get to meet new people, make new friends, watch all these amazing adorable little ones grow and I get the honor to capture it. What a blessing God has given me. :)
Here are a few of my favorites from the past few sessions that I have had in the last couple weeks. Hope you enjoy. I am going to try to start blogging each session from now. I find it very hard for me to write. Because I suck at grammar, spelling and writing it is not on my top things to do-I have had people message me telling me how bad my writing is or how bad the grammar is. So I have always left it for last and then I forget to do it. My new goal this year is to write a blog on each session!
Again Thank you to everyone for all your support! If you would like me to create some custom art for you and your family I would love to work with you. Give me a call and we can set something up. These moments of life go by fast.
Oh this family was amazing. This was also my first in home lifestyle session. Which I am finding I love and want to do more of them. Going into this I was a little nervous but oh so grateful to this wonderful family for allowing me in their home. They have the prettiest home and the most amazing light. I wish my home had this much amazing light.
I wanted to show case real life, every day moments. We all get caught up in things needing to be perfect-perfect outfit, hair has to be just right, the kids need to act perfect, perfect smiles, ect....That is not real life. It is nice but lets get real. I want to feel something when I look at an image. I want to look back and see real moments, real life and feel something. I want my clients to feel the same. I am so excited to be offering this type of photography.
In this world of photography we can get into a funk and lose sight of why we are doing what we are doing. I was getting to the point where I wasn't producing the images I really wanted. I wanted more emotion in my work. I know my work is all over the place and I am ok with that. It is art. Each session speaks to me in a different way and each person who comes to me wants something different. I love to step out of my comfort zone and create. I am so grateful to each and everyone of my clients who come to me with a vision and allow me to put my spin on it. Thank you
This family was so much fun to photograph. It was real life, real messes, real breakdowns, life with kids is never perfect! I love every minute. I could share their whole gallery!
Thanks again Chelsea for allowing me in your home and allowing me to photography your family. You have a wonderful family!
I am so excited to invite you all to our Open House Feb 23, 2018 from 4pm-6pm.
For the past 2 and half years I have been working from home since my last studio space flooded. I dreamed of having a bigger studio space again. I worked hard and here we are in our new studio. I can't wait for you all to come see. We will have treats for you to enjoy, door prizes and a special discount for that day only! Mark your calendars and come on down and help celebrate our new space!
2018 has started off with lots of new little life. These tiny little gifts from above are so sweet, tiny and cute. They are only this little for a very short time. I am so honored that I get to capture God's gifts! The parents are super lucky to have such a special little gift to cherish! Here are a few of my favorites portraits of the newborns so far this year. Sure have had a run on little boys!
-I loved you from the start,
you stole my breath, embraced my hear
Our life together has just begun
your part of me my little one-
Oh these mamma's are so pretty! Just glowing in love and joy! Carrying a baby is full of joy, pain, happiness, blessings and a gift. Why not capture that beautiful moment... I know some of you are like but I don't feel good, or why would I want to remember how big I was? Trust me you will want to look back in time one day. It is a beautiful memory and gift! I have many gowns that you can pick from to wear or you can bring your own.
Here are a few of my favorite maternity images from the last few sessions. I think these are becoming one of favorites as well!
I have known this cute couple for a few years now. Donny played soccer with my son in high school and I had the pleasure of doing his senior photos. Brittany worked at my favorite coffee place and now her mom and aunt own my favorite flower shop. They both are the sweetest. I always love working with them. They both modeled for me a couple years back and I told them if they get married I wanted to do their engagement photos. Well when I got the call to do them I was so happy for them. They are both full of love and laughter. They are so much fun to be around!
Their love shines bright and I wish them many years of happiness!
Congrats you two. Can't wait for the wedding.
*please note I only take on a wedding if you are a past client! I only take a couple weddings a year.
I am a bit behind on blogging. I thought I would share a few of the last few newborns that we have had in the studio in the last couple weeks. Newborns are my heart, my passion and one of my favorites to photograph. I do love photographing lots of other things which I plan to do more families, seniors and lifestyle this year.
Here are a few of my favorites from the last few sessions
I am so bad with blogging. I get so busy and forget to update my blog. I am so sorry. It has be busy around here and lots of changes have been happening as well.
I am so blessed and honored to have so many wonderful clients, friends and family who have supported my little business. I couldn't do it without you all. Thank you so much. I have been working from home for the last 2.5 years. It has been nice working from home but very limiting. I was working in a very small room and I was feeling very limited on what I could offer indoor. So last month I decided to start checking into some buildings downtown. My sweet little sister was the one who found out about the building that was up for rent. :) I made the call to go look at it. My hubby, my sister and I went to check it out. I was like wow all that space. It needed lots of work but was really hoping to be able to get a new space downtown again. After many hours and days talking it over with the hubby we decided to jump in and go for it. Sunshine Photography has moved downtown and has a nice big studio space again. I can now offer more sessions inside. Now I can offer family and senior indoor. I am looking forward to the new year and what 2018 will bring. With the new space I am offering more and changing up how we do things. My clients mean the world to me -if it weren't for you all I wouldn't have a job. I want to make my clients happy and offer my clients the best. I have been listening to you all. I am making some changes and you will want to stop by and check things out. I am hoping to have a big open house event in January, so be on the look out for that. Will have door prizes and treats.
Thank you to each and everyone of you who have helped me achieve my dream. I am so blessed and grateful.
*Window sign is going up tomorrow but here is a few photos of the inside. We will be adding more to the inside in time. We plan to add a bed for the lifestyle, newborn, mini sessions and for boudoir sessions. We also hope to add a TV for your reveal sessions.
Can't wait for you stop by and plan a custom session with us.
