Us moms are rarely in front of the camera. Most moms do not want to be, as they hate the way they look or something. But let me tell you there is no reason not to get in the photos with your kids. Trust me, they will not give a crap if you have gained weight, what your hair looks like or your clothes. What they will care about is that the fact that you are In the Photos. They will cherish them when you are gone-Trust me on that. After loosing my mom in March I went looking for photos of her and I. I couldn't find many at all. It breaks my heart that I do not have many of her and I together. So PLEASE moms Start getting into those photos, even if it is not with a pro photographer. It will be something we will cherish for years and years.
With that being said I am running an awesome Motherhood Snuggle mini session. This will be great for all ages. This special is good from now until April 2020. Sessions will take place in my studio or in your home. You can wear one of the gowns that I have at the studio or whatever you wish! We can do dark and moody or light and airy style. Come snuggle your babies and lets create some art and memories! Give me a call, email me or message me on Facebook to get your spot book!

Happy New Year!!! I am so grateful and blessed to be going into my 13th year in business. I couldn't of done it without all my amazing clients, family and friends. THANK YOU so Much!!!
Of course with a new year comes new possibility's and changes. We all make new goals, have bigger dreams for the new year. I know I do. I am making some changes here at Sunshine Photography. I will be making more changes through out the year. One of the changes is pricing. I have decided to go to an all exclusive packages. What does that mean? Well it means the session and digital images are all include in one price. I will still offer prints and other high quality products. I wanted to change it up as I sold lots of digital images last year. I got a lot of feed back from clients and future clients saying that they wanted the session and digital images included in one price. So I decided to go with it. I also changed it to so you had more then one session option. I mean I had more then one option before but thought this would be a good change. I will still be offering a few mini sessions though out the year but it will be limited on how many I offer. Be watching my Facebook and Instagram pages for the mini session dates and info. Some of the other changes I will be sharing at a later time as some things are not set in stone yet. I started offering mentoring last year and I want to continue with offering mentoring this year as well. I am an open book! If you have questions or would love to learn more about photography hit me up... We can custom make a mentor session just for you. So if you want to learn more about the business side, editing, styling, newborn, seniors, family sessions, you name it, I am up for it! One last thing I changed is the studio is by appointment only. I am only there if I have a session or meeting. I do all my editing and computer here from home. I will not longer answer emails, messages or calls on weekends or evenings. I have been getting people calling at 9pm or later wanting to book a session. I have to limit my work and home life. So if you would like to book a session please feel free to give me a call Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. You can message me on Facebook or email me. But again I will return message during Monday-Friday! I found this last year was super hard on me and I let a lot of things go down hill. I wasn't shooting for me, I wasn't shooting things the way I wanted or used too. I was just trying to stay above water. This year I plan to start shooting for me again, doing the things I like and want. I want to shoot things that make my heart sing again. I want to try new things, learn new things and do different things. I look forward to working with you all and creating art for you and your families to cherish for a lifetime! Thank you so much for sticking with me through the years. I hope the New Year brings you many wonderful things! Remember be watching my Facebook and Instagram pages for specials, mini session info and More! I will be doing a New Year Give Away SOON! Thanks again to all my wonderful clients for making my little business successful. 13 years of doing what I love-I owe to you all! <3 <3 <3 Sweet baby Chloe came into this world on her big sister and big brother's birthday. She made everyone wait for her to come when she felt ready and of course she decided to come on her siblings birthday. What a present! I have known this super sweet family many years now and I feel so honored to get to capture their special moments in their life.
Chloe came weighing in a little over 9lbs. with lots of pretty hair. Not as much as her brother but still lots of hair. Those cute chubby cheeks melt your heart. Congrats to this adorable family! <3 We had a great time in the studio too. Thanks again you guys for allowing me to be part of capturing your moments. Babies are our future. They are oh so tiny, sweet, cuddly and just plain amazing! These tiny adorable little humans grow so fast in the first year. It is truly crazy yet amazing in how they grown, learn and change in such a short time. I am so honored to be able to capture so many adorable little ones. They are such a joy! Thank you to each and everyone parent that trust in me to capture your little ones first portraits.
Sharing some major cuteness over load for you all to enjoy! My favorites from the past few months of newborns and babies I have had in the studio lately! <3 I didn't realize how behind on blogging I was until I started adding the photos in to the post. Wow I am behind lol. Going through the past few months of all the cuteness puts a smile on my face and I hope it puts a smile on yours. Can you count how many baby smiles too? I love when I capture a baby smile! Just Priceless <3 This summer has been busy with amazing senior sessions, babies, families and spending time with my family, so I have gotten behind on blogging. I am super bad about blogging and updating things. Sorry. To stay update with what is going on around Sunshine Photography please make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
This season of seniors has been lots of fun so far. Summer time really is the best time to get in to do your senior photos. Lets be honest once school starts your life gets busy with school, homework, sports, work and other activities. Plus the weather and light is better in the summer. Ya it can be hot and there are lots of bugs at times. But I would rather have great light, pretty landscapes then cold, snowy and yucky light. I know some would like fall/winter photos and that is fine too. Fall is normally really busy for me so it can be harder to get in. I can also make your images look like fall. You can always add on a mini winter mini session too. Got questions I am about what I offer-I am here to help, just give me a call or message me. I want this to be a fun and stress free experience. If you have not booked your senior session yet give me a call to get your spot! It is your time to Shine!!! Over the last couple weeks I have had a great time with lots of seniors. I have a few more over the next couple weeks. I wish you guys the best senior year! Make it a Great one you guy! I love watching the bonds between a mom and their little ones. Being a mom is one of the hardest jobs ever but it is so rewarding as well. As I sit here thinking of my babies when they were little I so wish I had images like this of me and my kids and me and my mom! Time really does fly by and life is never promised tomorrow. So many of us women hate being in front of the camera. Why? We are so worried about what we look like. But guess what ladies...Our kids don't care-they don't care what your hair looks like, the clothes you wear or if you have gained weight. Believe me when you are gone they are just going to want to see you-photos are the one thing we can leave when we pass on. So please be present in the photos with your little's. They will cherish them!!! <3 I can't stress enough to get your photos printed as well. How many times have you had photos on your cell phone and then lost all your photos? Have you had your computer crash with your photos on it? Plus technology changes! Get your photos printed so your family will have them for generations to come to cherish for a lifetime!
I know Mother's day is over but I was unable to offer Mother's Day mini session before hand with everything going on in my life at that time, plus I was having a hard time with losing my mom in March. I want to capture those special moments with moms and their kids. I do not have any recent or many photos of me and my mom at all. It breaks my heart that I didn't get any of us together. So I want to make sure I can offer that to my clients. Here is your chance ladies. There is no better time then now to capture those moments with mom and kids! My set this year is going to be amazing! I am working on the set this weekend. Give me a call to book your spot! $25 due at time of booking the remainder due the day of the session. 307-575-1702 The last month has been very hard for me. I am not one for sharing to many personal things in my life but there are times I need to share. This is one of those times. March 1 and March 13 will be 2 dates I will remember and those 2 dates are two that hurt deeply!
March 1st was a happy day as my granddaughter was born that day. I will always make that day special and happy. But while I was at work I received a phone from my sister saying that my mom had a stroke and was being rushed to the hospital. I was in shock, scared and sad. My hubby, my grandma and I rushed up to Casper to see her. My oldest son was with her and they called me. When she got to the hospital they gave her medicine to help with the stroke. She was talking ,moving and so she called me. While we were on the phone all she could say was ok, things went down hill from there. We thought she was going to be ok but she wasn't. She ended up getting a big brain bleed. She couldn't talk, or move her right side. When we made it to the hospital she had tubes everywhere. My heart was broken and I hated seeing my mom like that. She never wanted to live like that. She always told us she didn't want people to take are of her, no nursing home, nothing. Those days were so hard for me. My mom and I had plans and now those plans were not going to happen. I was broken. I wasn't ready for my mom to leave. I knew she wouldn't want to live like that and I needed to be strong. My heart was so broken and I felt so lost. My dad (step dad) divorced my mom about 2 years earlier and pretty much wrote me off. He doesn't call me, doesn't see me and during this horrible time I needed him to be there and he wasn't, which made it even harder for me. I know my thoughts are all over the place. I can't seem to think straight sometimes. It is hard for me to get through the day. It is so hard knowing my dad the guy who raised me doesn't want me in his life either. March 13,2019 is the hardest day ever. We were in the middle of a damn blizzard and I couldn't get to Capser to be with my mom and she passed away that evening. I didn't get to say good bye. I spent as much time with her in the last weeks as I could but I wasn't ready for her to go. I still needed her. We had plans. I think that is the hardest for me. I was so mad as she just started her new life. She was getting healthy, had just moved to Casper-been there only 2 weeks, started her new dream job, which she was So excited about. She was at work when she had her stroke. It just sucks. I was so happy my mom and I were on good terms, getting along and working on our relationship. I haven't really had my breakdown yet but I know it is coming. I am so mad she is gone-she was to young and I wasn't ready!!! I know we can't control when God calls us home. I know she is in a better place but I am still mad, sad and broken. My mom was a loving, very caring, fun, smart, amazing person. She was an amazing nurse who loved to help others. She was an amazing cook, an awesome grandma & great grandma. I miss her so much!!! She always told us girls she wanted to donate her body to science. I know some people think that is crazy, but my mom loved to help others. She said if she could help other nurses and doctors learn from her then that is what she wanted. So we did just that. It is so cool that she told us to do. It feels good to know we could help! <3 I LOVE YOU MOM, I MISS YOU MOM! I HOPE YOU ARE DANCING UP IN HEAVEN AND ARE HAPPY AND AT PEACE <3 I am so glad you asked me to take these photographs of you this past Aug. I so Wish I could of had some photographs of you and me together. It is all I have of you now. Photographs really are the best thing ever-it is what we have left once our loved ones are gone! I am so glad I have these images of you <3 Because of all this going on in my life I have not been so busy at work. I need to get back to working and can't wait to start photographing again. But for now I do know I need take a small trip somewhere to get my mind and heart back to a good place. I am still taking sessions, but I do plan to take a week off soon. I have always been bad at blogging my sessions. I am so behind! I wanted to share a few favorites from the last few newborn sessions we have had the last couple weeks.
I had someone ask me why I do this or why I specialize in newborns. Well for me I didn't have images of my babies and I so wish I did. I have always loved babies. They are such a special gift and I want to be able to capture that for my clients. I want to warm their hearts and bring a smile to their face when they look their images. It is a moment you can't get back. Your beautiful tiny little bundles of joy grow and change so fast. I want to bottle that up how they are in that moment for you to look back on when they are all grown up. The Baby Love event went very well. I am so happy and grateful for everyone who came out to the event. Had lots of beautiful mamma's in the studio! Now I can't wait to photograph some of their babies. <3
