Senior photos are so different from when I graduated. They are more custom and more about you and what makes you-You! Some seniors know what they want and some don't. That is why hiring a professional is the best way to go. They will help guide you and help bring your vision to life!
You worked so hard to get through high school and you deserve to shine! Show who you are at this special moment in your life. You and your family will love to look back in time and remember those moments! Are you into sports? Are you into art? Do you love music? Do you have pets or hobbies that you love and want to include? So many fun things can be included into your session to help capture who you are at this moment in time! So when is the best time to do your photos... The summer before your senior year starts. Why? Well if you are in sports or other after school activities it is going to be harder for you to get in to do your photos. You will be busy with homework, sports, work, ect... Plus the weather is nice. Don't get me wrong, fall is a great time as well. But it doesn't last long, it gets darker earlier in the fall and you are in school. So chances of missing an afternoon of school/sports may not be best. So I always say Summer and early fall! I know some of you are like but I love snow photos and want snow. Which yes that can be done but trust me you will not want all your photos done in the snow. It is cold, which makes your nose, face and hands red, it is limiting, and hard to see if there is snow on the ground and the sun is shining. It can make for a tough session. Plus most schools want your photo into the school by November or Early December for yearbook. Plus there are times we don't get a good snow until late December or January. Most photographers are not open during the Holiday's and some take January off. My best advice is do a session where you can split your session into 2 sessions. That way if you want a fall or winter session you can do that, but still get some during the summer. Also another thing to think about is location. Are we traveling somewhere special for your session? Some locations look best in summer and some are better in the fall. Some places are farther away and need more time to travel too! Really there is a lot that goes into your senior session to make it the best! There are so many ways to create your vision. If you have any questions on booking your custom senior session I would love to help you! I want each session to be custom and about YOU! If you are ready to book your custom session give me a call or email me! Here are a few favorites from The Class of 2022 that I had the pleasure of working with! I love photographing high school seniors. So fun and refreshing! Each is so different!

This little guy loved my little white chair but didn't really like his cake! Those blue eyes and that smile! What a little cutie. He was walking when he came in! Some kids walk by one and some do not. It sure can make things tricky and hard in a session once the littles are on the move. They want to go go go! :)
When I let my studio go and brought it back to my home I was worried and scared. I am not sure why I was worried. It has been wonderful! I don't have the extra stress of worrying about all the extra bills and I can focus more on work! I am loving the natural light in my new studio. It is such a nice change. It can be a challenge as it is always changing, if we have clouds and then no clouds.
Anyway I wanted to say Thank you to all my amazing clients for all your love and support in my little business! I wouldn't have a business without you all! <3 My studio space is pretty small and that is ok. I normally only do newborns, milestone and some family and some maternity sessions in studio. Most everything else is outside. All senior sessions are done outside and most family sessions are done outside. I am loving this change so much. It feels like a big weight has been lifted. I wanted to share the first few sessions I have had in my new space! <3 Check out all these super cute adorable babies! I sure have had a run on baby boys! Only one girl! I truly love my "job"! The people I get to meet and all these beautiful little babies-I love to watch them grow into big kids too! |
