Wyoming Photographer

Hello there.  A while back I lost my blog page and never started a new one until today.  So I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself to you all.
My name is Corrie and I love the color purple.  I am a little shy until there is a camera in my hand.  I am not one that has ever been great at writing or grammar. I have loved photography for as long as I can remember.  It has always been part of my life.  My dad was a photographer and had a studio for 25+ years.  I am a self taught photographer, though I have been to many workshops and classes through out the years.  I received my first camera when I was 15.  I always knew I wanted to be a photographer.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to photograph the most at first I just knew that is what I wanted to be.  I started with landscapes then I feel in love with watching the sky's and storms and of course I loved to photograph my kids.  I decided one day to just jump in and learn what I could and open a studio.  I started photographing everything, but quickly learned that I enjoyed photographing babies, HS seniors and families the best.  I think it is so important to capture our life's moments.  They do not last long and over time we forget.  A photograph is forever.  Tomorrow is never promised.  I am inspired by every family that I have the pleasure of meeting.  It brings me joy and I am very blessed to work with so many amazing people.  
I have been married for 24 years, will be 25 years in March.  I have 3 boys and 2 grand-kids (soon to be 3) if you can believe that.  Crazy how fast time fly's by.  I love to spend time with my family, traveling, having fun and relaxing. I love the mountains and which I lived closer to them.  Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers. The place I always wanted to go back to and live is in Alaska.  It is the most beautiful place on earth.  
Sunshine Photography has been open for 10 years now.  7 of those years I had a studio space downtown.  The last 2 years I have been working from home.  I do love it but it has its challenges.  I do hope to have a studio space downtown again soon.  
Someone asked me how I came up with the name of my business.  Well I use to sing You are my Sunshine to my boys all the time and they are the reason I decided to go after my dream of owning a studio.  I felt it was the perfect name.  
I take pride in my work and want to bring my clients the best I can.  I love planning each session to fit around the style of each family.  Newborns are one of my all time favorite little humans to photograph.  I think it is because I never had amazing photographs of my babies when they were born as I was broke and didn't have a good camera back then.  They grow so fast and we forget how tiny they are.  I love to capture that.  Their safety is number one to me and I take lots of care in working with them.  My 2nd favorite to photograph is HS Seniors.  They are so full of life and their journey is just beginning.  They are just finding out who they are and what they want to be.  Each senior is so different so it makes it so much fun.  
Don't get me wrong I love photographing older babies and kids as well.  6-9 months is another favorite of mine.  Their little personalities are starting to come out, they have cute chunky rolls and joy in their eyes.  
Here are a few last things that you may not know about me.  I love dark chocolate cause really who doesn't love chocolate?  I love fruit-raspberries are my favorite.  I must have a cup of coffee every morning or I just don't function.  
I know that was kind of all over the place but that is me.
