I am the worst at keeping up with my blog and writing. I am terrible at writing and at grammar. So please forever give me. I have been busy with so much going on here at the new studio and at home. Let me try to fill you all in on all the things that have been going on. :) First off I want to say a BIG thank you to Everyone who came out to my open house. It was a wonderful turn out and I loved seeing and visiting with everyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! It truly was awesome! We had lots of people, door prizes and treats. I couldn't of done without all my family, friends and clients! THANK YOU!!! Next up my Adorable granddaughter came into this world March 1st. I was so honored to be able to witness her birth. The amazing things us women can do. I have had the honor of watching all my grandbabies enter this world. A true blessing! Meet my new adorable granddaughter Birkliegh Kelley Weighing in at 6 lbs 6 oz. I so wish I could see her more often. I do plan to do a whole blog just one her soon. I have been busy with lot of sessions, meeting new people and enjoying my "job". I can't tell you how much I love working with so many people and getting the honor to create art for you all. It brings me joy, happiness, sometimes tears too. I get to meet new people, make new friends, watch all these amazing adorable little ones grow and I get the honor to capture it. What a blessing God has given me. :)
Here are a few of my favorites from the past few sessions that I have had in the last couple weeks. Hope you enjoy. I am going to try to start blogging each session from now. I find it very hard for me to write. Because I suck at grammar, spelling and writing it is not on my top things to do-I have had people message me telling me how bad my writing is or how bad the grammar is. So I have always left it for last and then I forget to do it. My new goal this year is to write a blog on each session! Again Thank you to everyone for all your support! If you would like me to create some custom art for you and your family I would love to work with you. Give me a call and we can set something up. These moments of life go by fast.

Oh this family was amazing. This was also my first in home lifestyle session. Which I am finding I love and want to do more of them. Going into this I was a little nervous but oh so grateful to this wonderful family for allowing me in their home. They have the prettiest home and the most amazing light. I wish my home had this much amazing light.
I wanted to show case real life, every day moments. We all get caught up in things needing to be perfect-perfect outfit, hair has to be just right, the kids need to act perfect, perfect smiles, ect....That is not real life. It is nice but lets get real. I want to feel something when I look at an image. I want to look back and see real moments, real life and feel something. I want my clients to feel the same. I am so excited to be offering this type of photography. In this world of photography we can get into a funk and lose sight of why we are doing what we are doing. I was getting to the point where I wasn't producing the images I really wanted. I wanted more emotion in my work. I know my work is all over the place and I am ok with that. It is art. Each session speaks to me in a different way and each person who comes to me wants something different. I love to step out of my comfort zone and create. I am so grateful to each and everyone of my clients who come to me with a vision and allow me to put my spin on it. Thank you This family was so much fun to photograph. It was real life, real messes, real breakdowns, life with kids is never perfect! I love every minute. I could share their whole gallery! Thanks again Chelsea for allowing me in your home and allowing me to photography your family. You have a wonderful family! I am so excited to invite you all to our Open House Feb 23, 2018 from 4pm-6pm.
For the past 2 and half years I have been working from home since my last studio space flooded. I dreamed of having a bigger studio space again. I worked hard and here we are in our new studio. I can't wait for you all to come see. We will have treats for you to enjoy, door prizes and a special discount for that day only! Mark your calendars and come on down and help celebrate our new space! 2018 has started off with lots of new little life. These tiny little gifts from above are so sweet, tiny and cute. They are only this little for a very short time. I am so honored that I get to capture God's gifts! The parents are super lucky to have such a special little gift to cherish! Here are a few of my favorites portraits of the newborns so far this year. Sure have had a run on little boys!
-I loved you from the start, you stole my breath, embraced my hear Our life together has just begun your part of me my little one- Oh these mamma's are so pretty! Just glowing in love and joy! Carrying a baby is full of joy, pain, happiness, blessings and a gift. Why not capture that beautiful moment... I know some of you are like but I don't feel good, or why would I want to remember how big I was? Trust me you will want to look back in time one day. It is a beautiful memory and gift! I have many gowns that you can pick from to wear or you can bring your own.
Here are a few of my favorite maternity images from the last few sessions. I think these are becoming one of favorites as well! I have known this cute couple for a few years now. Donny played soccer with my son in high school and I had the pleasure of doing his senior photos. Brittany worked at my favorite coffee place and now her mom and aunt own my favorite flower shop. They both are the sweetest. I always love working with them. They both modeled for me a couple years back and I told them if they get married I wanted to do their engagement photos. Well when I got the call to do them I was so happy for them. They are both full of love and laughter. They are so much fun to be around!
Their love shines bright and I wish them many years of happiness! Congrats you two. Can't wait for the wedding. *please note I only take on a wedding if you are a past client! I only take a couple weddings a year. I am a bit behind on blogging. I thought I would share a few of the last few newborns that we have had in the studio in the last couple weeks. Newborns are my heart, my passion and one of my favorites to photograph. I do love photographing lots of other things which I plan to do more families, seniors and lifestyle this year.
Here are a few of my favorites from the last few sessions I am so bad with blogging. I get so busy and forget to update my blog. I am so sorry. It has be busy around here and lots of changes have been happening as well.
I am so blessed and honored to have so many wonderful clients, friends and family who have supported my little business. I couldn't do it without you all. Thank you so much. I have been working from home for the last 2.5 years. It has been nice working from home but very limiting. I was working in a very small room and I was feeling very limited on what I could offer indoor. So last month I decided to start checking into some buildings downtown. My sweet little sister was the one who found out about the building that was up for rent. :) I made the call to go look at it. My hubby, my sister and I went to check it out. I was like wow all that space. It needed lots of work but was really hoping to be able to get a new space downtown again. After many hours and days talking it over with the hubby we decided to jump in and go for it. Sunshine Photography has moved downtown and has a nice big studio space again. I can now offer more sessions inside. Now I can offer family and senior indoor. I am looking forward to the new year and what 2018 will bring. With the new space I am offering more and changing up how we do things. My clients mean the world to me -if it weren't for you all I wouldn't have a job. I want to make my clients happy and offer my clients the best. I have been listening to you all. I am making some changes and you will want to stop by and check things out. I am hoping to have a big open house event in January, so be on the look out for that. Will have door prizes and treats. Thank you to each and everyone of you who have helped me achieve my dream. I am so blessed and grateful. *Window sign is going up tomorrow but here is a few photos of the inside. We will be adding more to the inside in time. We plan to add a bed for the lifestyle, newborn, mini sessions and for boudoir sessions. We also hope to add a TV for your reveal sessions. Can't wait for you stop by and plan a custom session with us. Offering Maternity sessions indoor & outdoor, Newborn, lifestyle, Watch me grow packages, Children, HS Seniors, Families, mentoring and so much more. Be on the look out for the up coming mini sessions. Thank you everyone for all your support. Hope you all have a wonderful Holiday and Happy New Year. This pretty little lady didn't want her photos taken the first day we tried. She wanted to stay awake, nurse and cry. I think she had a bit of a tummy ache and she was fighting her sleep. So we planned for a new day and she did wonderful for her sessions. She even flashed a few smiles. Isn't she just so pretty! I am so lucky to have such adorable clients!
This family was the sweetest and oh so nice. They offered to carry all my junk that I bring along on my sessions and they were very fun to work with as well. They purchased my gift certificate from a special auction that I donated to. Over all a very fun, caring and loving family! Family is everything! They are there for you when you need them the most! It was such a pleasure meeting you all! Thank you for allowing me to photograph your family.
I love the traditional family shoots and the non traditional as well. |
